What is the Dacorum Heritage Trust?

The Dacorum Heritage Trust is the Accredited museum organisation for the borough of Dacorum, based at the Museum Store in Clarence Road, Berkhamsted. The Museum Store is the home of over 65,000 objects relating to Berkhamsted and the surrounding areas, including Bovingdon, Chipperfield, Flamstead, Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, Markyate and Tring.

We are open by appointment, Monday to Friday,10am - 4pm. Please contact the Berkhamsted Museum Store to make an appointment. Regretably, due to the nature of the building, the store is not fully accessible, although alternative arrangements can be made.

Our object loan boxes for schools, local societies and clubs include objects from the collection, a resource pack for teachers and classroom activities.

Would your club be interested in a local history display? The Dacorum Heritage Trust can provide panels and objects on different subjects including:

  •  Trade and Industry
  •  Transport

Add an extra dimension to your history lesson and organise an object handling session for your pupils. Sessions will be led by Museum Staff and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group.
