P44 United (Submarine adopted by Berkhamsted)

This is a personal account of some of the exploits of H M submarine P44 (United) by one of the submariners who served on board. The United was bought and adopted by the citizens of Berkhamsted who, on 9th November 1943, welcomed the crew home from a very successful tour of duty.
