We’ve had a busy few months! October 9th we hosted our ‘Evening of Folk’ at Berkhamsted Pavilion. The Harbour Lights Trio with Barry Goodman put on a fantastic performance including narrative folk songs like “Jack in the Green” and “The man that waters the workers beer” – Everyone couldn’t resist joining in and singing along! We even had a special guest in the form of a jig doll who danced beautifully (with some help!)
During half term we held one of our Firework and Festivals workshops at Berkhamsted Arts and Crafts. The workshop was focusing on Fireworks and more specifically Brocks who were based in Hemel Hempstead.
The second of our workshops will be focusing on the theme of festivals!
We will be looking at the art of Rangoli. Rangoli art is intricate and usually created on a table top or even the floor. The pattern is typically created using materials such as powdered lime stone, coloured sand, flower petals, and coloured rocks.
Festivals workshop: December 4th 10am – 12:30pm at Berkhamsted Arts and Crafts, 29-31 Lower Kings Rd, Berkhamsted HP4 2AB
