Tours are Free during Heritage Open Days, but a
voluntary contribution of £3 per person will be appreciated.
Unfortunately
the Store is not wheelchair accessible, although alternative arrangements can
be made.
Museum Tour at Two
Have you ever held an axe head from 6,000 years ago, looked closely at samplers dating from 1880 or measured yourself up against the wheel of a penny-farthing? These objects are all stored at The Dacorum Heritage Trust.
Come along to the museum store in Berkhamsted on to learn more about the objects used and owned by people in your area. The curatorial staff here at The Dacorum Heritage Trust guarantee that one of their collection of over 65,000 objects will capture your imagination.
The tours not only give an overview of the boroughs history spanning over 3,000 years, but will also give you a taste of the activities we do to help conserve your local history.
Tour starting times are 10am and 2pm. Cost: £3 per person - Please book in advance.
We have permanent display case and panels at many of the libraries in the Borough, which are updated every few months.
