Goodege, Private Arthur Lewes, 19th London Regiment, of Hampstead. Died of wounds in France on 3 December 1917. Born in Berkhamsted. St Sever Cemetery Extension. (BK) (StM)

Oakens, Private Reginald, 6th Bedfordshire Regiment, of 8 Frithsden. Killed in action in France on 4 May 1916. Son of Mr A Oakens. Born in Potten End. Bienvillers Military Cemetery. (PE)

Summerfield, Sergeant Bert F, 1st Lincolnshire Regiment, of 16 Frithsden. Enlisted with the Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action at Passchendaele on 16 April 1918. Age 24. Born in Berkhamsted. Son of Walter and Sarah. Tyne Cot Memorial. (PE)

Wilson, Sergeant Augustus Edwin (“Gus”), 7th Bedfordshire Regiment. Died of wounds to the chest and left leg sustained at Ypres on 14 August 1917. Born in Berkhamsted. Son of Mr E Wilson. Brandhoek New Military Cemetery. (PE)

Wilson, Private John, 6th Bedfordshire Regiment, of Nettleden. Killed in action in France on 9 August 1916. Born in Berkhamsted. Formerly employed at Potten End Vicarage. (PE)
