The Dacorum Heritage Trust can provide a Loan Box relating to rationing during World War Two, for use in the classroom.

Object List:
· Food and Clothing Ration Books.
· The ABC of Cookery
· Make Do and Mend Booklet.
· Land Army Cap Badge.
· Hobbies Weekly Magazine.
· Woman's Weekly Magazine (lots of wartime articles, including making stockings from old jumper sleeves!)
· Replica Food - typical weekly rations for an adult.
· A few smells! Smell the bacon, the beef and the orange marmalade.
· Forties Food or Modern Meals? Mrs Smethurst has got her recipe box in a muddle. Her old wartime recipes are now mixed in with her favourite modern recipes. Can you sort the recipe box and pick out Mrs Smethurst's wartime recipes?
· Clothing Coupon Game. Betsy has taken her clothing coupons out of her ration book, instead of letting the shopkeeper remove them. A gust of wind has blown them around the room. Can you help Betsy find all of her clothing coupons? Count how many clothing coupons you can find.
