HARVEY Frederick Charles
Civilian Munitions Worker and Army Cadet. Died in an explosion whilst working at the Brocks Fireworks Munitions Factory in Hemel Hempstead March 1944. Aged 16.

BARROW Lawrence Alfred Howard
Second Lieutenant, 10th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action 31st August 1916. Aged 21. Son of the Rev. A. H. Barrow and Emily Mary Barrow, of Ashfield, Beckenham, Kent. Buried in ENGLEBELMER COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France. Plot/Row/Section D. Grave 3.
There is a wall mounted memorial within St Leonard’s Church, to 2nd Lieutenant Lawrence Barrow of the 11th Battalion [10th on the CWGC records], Royal Sussex Regiment. His Father, Reverend A H Barrow, was Vicar of Flamstead from 1916 to 1923 and officiated at the unveiling of the War Memorial in November 1920.
