Flaunden War Memorial

Coke, Lieutenant (The Hon.) Arthur George, Armoured Car Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Killed in action at Gallipoli on 21 May 1915. Helles Memorial.

Doggett, Private Percy, 1st Bedfordshire Regiment, of Flaunden. Served in both Italy and France. He was wounded twice and had suffered from trench fever. Killed in action in France on 26 April 1918. Age 24. Son of Daniel and Sarah. Former member of Flaunden Baptist Church. Merville Communal Cemetery Extension.

Pritchard, Private Harry, 1st Bedfordshire Regiment, of 89 Flaunden. Killed in action at Ypres on 14 June 1915. Age 19. Son of Amos and Elizabeth. Larch Wood Cemetery.

Ruffett, Private John, 2nd Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action at the Somme on 12 October 1916. Son of William and the late Mrs Ruffett. Thiepval Memorial.

Tomlin, Sergeant Frank L, 5th Oxfordshire and Bucks Light Infantry. Killed in action in France on 9 June 1917. Age 43. Son of Nathan and Elizabeth. Husband of Emily of Letchworth. Tolloy British Cemetery.
