Sims, Walter Henry Booker ("Harry"), Royal Marines Light Infantry. He took part in the Battle of Jutland on board HMS "Princess Royal". In February 1919 he fell from the ship’s rigging and landed on his head. He died in West Herts Hospital on 17 October 1919 as a result of a heart attack caused by his injuries.

Woodward, Harry, Grenadier Guards, originally of Leverstock Green. Joined the army in 1900. Rejoined again at the start of war but became seriously ill in France and was invalided home to New Southgate where he resumed his occupation as an asylum assistant at the London County Asylum. However, the illness returned and he subsequently died on 13 July 1916. His sister was married by George De Beger who was also killed. His surname is incorrectly recorded as "Woodwards". (LVG)

Fowler, Private William, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, of 36 Alma Road. Enlisted in 1915. After four years service he suffered from rheumatism and spent time in hospital in France, Leicester and finally West Herts Hospital where he died on 6 May 1919. Age 34. Son of Henry.

George, Private Sidney Russell, Machine Gun Corps, of 97 Bury Road. Enlisted with the Bedfordshire Regiment in May 1915 aged 17. He went to France with the 8th Battalion and then transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. He was wounded three times, gassed twice and was once buried alive for three days. He was discharged in April 1919 still suffering from the effects of gas. His condition became worse and he died at home on 29 September 1920. Age 23. Son of Henry and Louisa. Formerly employed at Apsley Mills in the Card Dept. Hemel Hempstead Cemetery.
