Thanks to The Royal Society and their Places of Science grant, Dacorum Heritage will be able to create new learning resources, which will highlight the stories of science from our local heritage.
Over the next two years Dacorum Heritage will consult with teachers and create learning resources all themed around the titles of ‘The Science Behind…’ which hopes to make science fun and relevant through engaging activities.
Dacorum Heritage will work closely and in consultation with science engagement experts, who will help create these resources and make them available across the borough.
The theme of the first of these resources follows on from our recent exhibition which highlighted the story of Brocks fireworks. The title of the resource being ‘The Science behind fireworks’.
