Another successful exhibition at the Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead!
Over 4 days in October we spoke to over 235 people about the Talking New Towns project.
During the exhibition we exhibited excerpts from interviews we have recorded over the past year. These ranged from factual accounts to funny stories to give you an insight into this era.
We also asked for children to contribute a drawing to our New Town mural. They included drawings of their house, fire stations, parks, swimming pools and even a museum!
Using these drawings as inspiration, from now till the end of the year we will be working on a animation. We hope that the animation will create some visual interpretation of the memories we have gathered of the new town of Hemel Hempstead.

Our Thanks goes out to The Marlowes Shopping Centre, Grete and Jo at Stevenage Museum, Keith Boon and volunteers from The Dacorum Heritage Trust John, Anne and Paul.
